We are seeking a Sales Associate with great retail and service skills.

Working at your locally owned Wild Birds Unlimited store is an opportunity to support and educate our friendly customers about birds and nature.

Our Sales Associates work with other staff, including the owner, to bring to life the store’s mission – “We Bring People and Nature Together®…And We Do It With Excellence!” To that end, we provide training with regard to backyard bird feeding, bird watching and product knowledge.

Requirements:

• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry seed for our customers – a foundation of our service!
• Comfortable working on a computer
• Will consider both full-time and part-time applications that meet the needs of the business, but a flexible schedule and the ability to work weekends are required.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team.
• Handle customer complaints and questions.\
• Maintain a positive attitude.\Assist customers with fitting and exchanging merchandise.
• Communicate with other individuals, both inside and outside of the company.
• Maintain good posture and composure while working under pressure.
• Offer suggestions to customers.
• Greet customers by name, introduce oneself, and ask how they are doing.
• Ask customers if they need assistance with anything else.

• Monday thru Friday: 9:30am - 3pm
• \Monday thru Friday: 3:00pm - 7pm
• Saturday: 9am-5pm
• Sunday: 10:30am-4pm
